EXCALIBUR™

ISB® technology (an electro-static and cavitational process) for
Housing market (domestic application)

Scale-Buster®/Excalibur™ scale and corrosion protection

The positioning of each product is different for whole house treatment and therefore gives the opportunity of tailor making a scale/corrosion protection system that best suits the needs of the house.

Scale-Buster is a robust commercial/industrial product producing high levels of performance. We recommend when using Scale-Buster as a domestic product that it always be used in conjunction with combination boilers (on the incoming mains). Due to the sensitive nature of combi boilers a more robust high performance scale inhibitor unit should be used.

Excalibur uses the same technical process as Scale-Buster (please click here for all technical info on Scale-buster technology and download excalibur brochure here), but is domestically constructed using different casing material and a reduction in the surface area treatment of the water. It is ideal for normal household consumption yet obviously not equal to the higher commercial standards of Scale-Buster. Even so the performance levels of Excalibur are at least equal if not better than similarly priced products. Excalibur is designed purely for the housing market at a competitive price.

With conventional house layout (storage tank system) it is strongly recommended that for whole house protection two (2) Excalibur units be used (one on the incoming mains and one on the cold water feed to the calorifier/emersion heater). This helps overcome flow rate inconsistency which is prevalent in the domestic housing market.

It should be noted that Excalibur is also being used more frequently in the central heating primary return system. By being installed just prior to the boiler it not only protects the boiler and the central heating system from corrosion but eliminates the use of chemicals which helps reduce maintenance.
